But you could buy the body only and get a lens off of ebay as you say. @Mike - But if you're only using the lens that comes with the camera you're going to be stuck with poor low light non-flash photos with the small aperture (f/3.5 I think) and if you want to take a photo of something in the distance you're stuck with a max of 55 mm of focal length... I suppose you could zoom with your feet. Unless you're photographing a tiger. I'd happily settle for a 400 or 350 series, and get an awesome lens off amazon or ebay or something. However the 450D does make me drool... Btw canon have packages that include different types of lenses, bags, tripods, and tickets for the spice girls... The camera is only as good as the ben behind it, if you know what I mean.
